My Beautiful Malaysia - Crystal Hill Recreational Park
Been quite a while haven't updated my blog. Loaded with office works, house works and of course little effort to push myself to do it. Well ! I promise myself to update my blogs regularly like before!!!!..fat chance!!!
It is not late to wish to all friends out there happy new year and wishing my Chinese friends Gong Xi Fa Cai....Happy Chinese New Year and have a prosperous year ahead.
This year is volunteerism year in Malaysia and the kick off was on the 3rd of Feb 2013. In the State of Kedah it was launched in Taman Rekreasi Gunung Keriang (Crystal Hill Recreational Park) in Alor Setar. although the Malay Gunung Keriang doesn't mean crystal in English but there is a lot of natural crystals on the hills and being extracted and sold at the foot of the hill.

Back to the launching Volunteerism day in association with My Beautiful Malaysia at Gunung Keriang Recreational Park was quite an affair whereby nearly 5,000 volunteers were participated and took parts in beautifying and cleaning the area. It was officiated by honourable minister of housing and local authorities. also present was the honourable Menteri Besar of Kedah (chief minister).
It was fantastic when the federal government and state government took part and cooperated in making the affair a success even though there was a differences in political beliefs. What more certain quarters even back down by playing the state anthem of the state anthem of Kedah !!! a rare occasion indeed when there was a federal minister present..and most of all no political talks from both sides AND no play card or posters nor banners displaying I LOVE so and so..!!!!
The local broadcaster of Radio KedahFM was also present to telecast the event and I was fortunate enough to be on the local radio...thanks to DJ Ice...one of my favourite local DJ....and I would to opologise to him for not recognising until when he was on air.!!!sorry..minta maaf tak kenal....I only recognise your golden voice.....

Children!....They really test your patience!!
Once in a while my patience was tested...by no other than my beloved children!..I'm not really a patience type of person...more on the scale of quick tempered...by I always manage to control my temper...but...
When we are not feeling well and sick, we are easily short tempered and tense up. It was one of those days when I was not feeling well, had a slight temperature and tired after a long drive from the office.
What did I find?...my kitchen was in a mass, dirty plates in the sink and I knew who did it!...and he has the chick to ask me to cook for him when what I wanted to do was to lay down on the couch as my head was bursting!..Oh Allah pardon me and give me patience, ameen!
I obliged and cook up something for him, but reminded him to wash up after eating. He didn't say anything, and I knew he's angry with me!...Still he didn't do the washing!..Ok..I'll play his game as well!..He's not going to get away with it easily
the next morning, I cleaned all the plates, and keep all the plates except only one plate on the rack. So if he's going to eat a few times he has to wash the same plate over and over again, since he didn't know where I kept the other plates. SubhanAllah ! I have succeeded in my mission, Alhamdulillah, thanks to Allah!

Ramadan 1432 - The best ever since then part 2
After 2 Ramadans ago, this is the first time we sahor and break the fast together as a family within the same room, the family area although FD and AFAF down there, me and Faris at the kitchen pull out table. Alhamdulillah!
He also helps me with the washing up. He knows I'll be busy preparing myself for the office. The best part is we are talking to each other more often, what a relief.
On friday he willingly follow us to Grandma's house and have our Iftar there as well. That's a first also, last year my parents came to my house to break the fast with us. He seemed to enjoy it very much. So that means 4 times we had ittar at my mum's.....what more could you ask for.
And for 2 years in a row, I could the dish all myself with the help of the children off course! I never went to the Pasar Ramadhan (Ramadhan Bazaar) for the food. I've found that I'll be wasting my precious time window shopping for food!....I could use the time to cook and rest as well before ittar!
The amazing thing is that, I lost 3 kgs this Ramadhan. It have been my habit of eating a little and 5 minutes later off to maghrib prayer. Faris also follow my footsteps! ....But this year I just drank green tea and ate fruits only. After a month I found out that I lost 3 kgs....maybe I have to get rid of another 2kgs...to get back my original weight and my ideal weight, InsyaAllah!

Man Drivers !!
There I was cruising at 130 - 140 km on the highway, suddenly this male driver driving a Mazda or a Ford flashing from behind and very closed. I moved to the left to make way for him. All is okay for a while, and then suddenly he slowed down, so I overtook him. He was taken by surprised!
He started to give me a chase! Oh man you chose the wrong chick! I'm not going to let you win easily! So I increased the speed to 150 km. After a while he gave up on me, and I slowed down to 140 km. Suddenly 10 km to the toll gate he overtook me again, but I just ignored him. But what's so amazing! we are going direction, its okay by me.
When we reached the AS South Toll Gate, I took the Smart Tag lane while he took the manual payment lane. So I won in the end. So to all men drivers out there NEVER challenged a woman driver on the highway when you don't have Smart Tag with you! you gonna loose!
